The Whole School Approach: CPD Event

We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday 10th April, Shonette Bason-Wood, a Guinness World Record Holder, mother of four, International Speaker and award-winning author will be visiting Inkersall Primary Academy to deliver a Twilight CPD event all about happiness in the school and well-being.

Shonette is different in style and content, from her look to her ability to lift an audience to a whole new level of thinking. She has created a positive global community within education in which educators put their own happiness first to impact on the children they work with. Famous for her fine muscle exercise Dough Disco, Shonette works Internationally with over 26 countries with Spread the Happiness Educators.

This twilight event if attended by one or two Happiness Ambassadors will enable your school to deliver this whole school Spread the Happiness Approach. It will give the attendee tools to deliver whole school training, the 27-day challenges are differentiated for each year group and strengthen the community to maintain motivation and drive this approach forward. The whole school approach requires no curriculum or timetable changes yet impacts on the staff, children, whole school unit, parents and carers and then the wider community. This approach lifts attendance as well as data but most of all it makes the science and creation of personal happiness a priority for all.
