Parent Forum

Inkersall is at the centre of a close-knit and supportive community which includes our parent and carer volunteers. A number of groups are in place to help parents and carers to make an active contribution to the school.

The purpose of the parent forum is to enhance communication between parents and carers and the school. Held termly, meetings of the forum are chaired by the Principal as part of a welcoming tea party format. Volunteers and governors may also present and are able to act as another point of contact with class teachers and the school.

The parent forum provides an opportunity for parents and carers to ask questions, be listened to and develop an active involvement and knowledge of the workings of the school. The forum also provides an opportunity for parents to be consulted and to give feedback on new initiatives, school strengths, and areas in which school practice could develop.

All parents and carers are automatically enrolled as a member of the forum, and are encouraged to suggest topics for discussion prior to the meetings.

PTA

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a parent-led organisation which works to support the school by developing relationships between parents and staff, hosting activities and events, and by providing resources to support educational delivery.

The PTA at Inkersall organises fundraising through events and other activities, and also has an important role organising non-fundraising social activity across the school.
