On Friday 10th December, we went on a whole school visit to Sheffield Lyceum to see a performance of Sleeping Beauty. To get in the mood, the children wore their Christmas jumpers to school and enjoyed a picnic lunch before setting off. It was great for the children to experience a live performance. The dragon and the real fire were particular favourites for the children. There was lots of giggling, lots of cheering and lots of booing too. All the children and staff had a wonderful day and even one of the coaches ‘breaking down’ couldn’t dampen our spirits.
Thank you to Morrisons at Staveley, who provided water for all the children and Inkersall Coop who provided a sweet treat for the interval. Finally a big thank you to our PTA who provided a donation to subsidise the visit. It was a memorable afternoon for everyone – ‘Oh yes it was!’. We wish it could be Christmas every day!!!
